What do participants appreciate most about the sense of community and atmosphere at curling in Marbach Castle? What does curling offer beyond fun?

During curling, participants compete in teams, aiming to score as many points as possible. Along the way, they have the opportunity to support each other within their team, maximizing their chances of success. This not only enhances team spirit but also fosters strategic thinking, communication, and collaboration—making it a rewarding experience beyond just entertainment.

What makes curling special, and why is it ideal for teambuilding?

Through cross-team communication, participants get to know each other better. Together, they develop various strategies to score as many points as possible. This strengthens mutual trust and enhances communication. Depending on the style of play, the tournament mode also provides excellent opportunities for a bit of networking with other participants.

How are the roles distributed in curling, and how does this impact team building? Are there specific strategies to ensure optimal teamwork among team members, or is it more of an individual competition?

It is a group competition where participants work together in teams and compete against other teams. There are usually no fixed roles in curling. However, the game develops a strong dynamic within the team and highlights the strengths and weaknesses of each player.

What technical tools do you use to measure the success of the competition, and how does Marbach Castle provide the foundation for it?

We always bring a so-called scoring frame, which we set up at the end of the course. The participants’ task is to collect as many points as possible. In the end, the points scored across all lanes are added together.

Do you feel that activities like these enhance communication and collaboration among conference participants?

Absolutely. After each event, you can see that participants are more relaxed and engaging in conversations with many colleagues.

How does curling provide a refreshing change from conference activities?

During a typical conference, participants spend a lot of time sitting in the conference room with little movement. Curling provides a welcome change by adding activity and fun!

What feedback have you received from other conference guests about curling at Marbach Castle?

The participants I spoke with after the event were all very enthusiastic and emphasized how much fun they had together.
