Every year, Marbach Castle expresses its gratitude to loyal customers for their valuable collaboration by sending out 2,000 thoughtfully packaged Christmas greetings. This year, however, we are taking a creative path to continue this tradition in a unique way – through an impactful tree-planting initiative.
The Power of Community
In an impressive tree-planting initiative, 15 volunteers from the Marbach Castle team, former employees—including retirees—joined forces with local forest ranger David Boroh, the Höri community, and a local nursery to make a strong statement for environmental protection. Together, they contributed not only to enhancing the natural beauty of the Höri forest but also to reducing atmospheric CO2 levels and creating vital habitats for a wide range of living beings.
Under expert guidance, a total of 300 trees were planted in the nearby forest of Öhningen. On a 1,500-square-meter plot, previously cleared due to a bark beetle infestation, 150 Douglas firs, 100 Norway maples, and 50 wild service trees found a new home. The entire Marbach Castle team participated with great enthusiasm, turning the initiative into a team-building event. After all, unique team experiences foster unity. Creating the right setting for teamwork is our mission—not only for our guests, who can look forward to a diverse range of programs at Marbach Castle.
